in answer to your post about the washrooms being maintained at sauble beach,,as a worker at the beach,,the people who have done it for the last few years are doing all they can,,given the situation where people toss paper on the floor "while the workers are there" because they are of an attitude that they have people who pick up after them..signs saying hold the handle held longer would eliminate all the plugging of the toilets,,people using thier feet to flush is a constant form of breakage.
we have also delt with one toilet available on a long weekend (or the doors being locked)because of poor quality proper matinance of the "powers that be".
all the money that the village collects(paid parking),,instead of it going to wiarton,,lets see the money go to where it belongs and give the poor workers who must stand in a line all the way to 2nd ave. a break. we don't have time, tourists are demanding.
while i am on my tirade,,no-one is going to come and pay for the 5 minutes it takes to buy an ice cream cone,,french fries,,or the other things our locals have been able to do over the years.
the tourists only park in kirklands and the mini-mall and walk down.
you have our taxes,,now we have to pay for the privilege to go and earn a living?? answer the call of nature?? this is pathetic... and the bathroom cleaners are doing all they can.
