2007 March Break Day Tripping Program

Wow! March Break Day Tripping Camp
Presented by Town of South Bruce Peninsula YOUTH FOCUS GROUP

Exciting day trips to outdoor heated swimming pools (who cares if it's snowing); Laser
Quest action play; bowling and a movie. This year, Youth Focus Group camp is hosting
1 Big Trip-a-Day Camp during March Break from Monday to Friday.

Monday March 12th
The Plunge Pool at the base of Blue Mountain, take the Plunge! A supervised,
lifeguarded, heated indoor/outdoor pool with water playground, rope swings,
docks and slides. Bus leaves the Propeller Club at 9 am promptly and returns @
4:30 pm. Bring your own lunch, towel, swimsuit.

Grades 1-8 COST $5/child

Tuesday March 13th
Bowling, mini putt and a movie. Bring your own lunch and money for movie
snacks if you wish. Drop off/ pickup at Propellor Club between 7:45 and 9am
Pickup 4:30-5:30pm.
Grades 3-8 only. Cost $10/child

Wednesday March 14th
The Plunge Pool as above Grades 1-8 own lunch, swimsuit, towel.
Grades 1-8 Cost $5/child

Thursday March 15th
LASER QUEST combines the classic games of tag and hide and seek with a
high tech twist. The game plays in a multi level arena featuring specialty lighting,
swirling fog and heart pounding music. Use your lasers to score points on your
opponents sensor equipment.

This trip will leave promptly for Kitchener Waterloo at 8:30 am stopping in Clifford
for a break and returning @ 5pm. Bring own lunch. Spending money optional.

Friday March 16th
Plunge Pool as above Grades 1-8 own lunch
Grades 1-8 Cost $5/child

All registration and medical info must be handed in with cheque or cash. IN
ADVANCE by Wednesday, March 7th .

Made payable to `Youth Focus Group'. Drop off at school office, or town hall downstairs.
PLEASE NOTE: Seating on the bus is limited to 48. First come first served. Watch for
forms coming home from school or pickup at town hall. HAPPY SPRING!

Two Volunteers Needed for Committees

The Town of South Bruce Peninsula is seeking two volunteers to serve on the Economic
Development Committee and one volunteer to serve on the Fire Committee.

Reporting to Municipal Council, the Economic Development Committee will be
responsible for making recommendations on implementing the South Bruce Peninsula
Economic Development Strategy and facilitating the implementation of plans to expand
and retain existing businesses opportunities, and encourage new business to come to
South Bruce Peninsula.

Reporting the Municipal Council, the Fire Committee will be responsible for making
recommendations on volunteer benefits and remuneration and assisting in the preparation
of the Department budget.

"Terms of Reference" for the Committees are available at the Town of South Bruce
Peninsula Municipal Office.

Letters of application will be accepted by the undersigned until Feb 28, 2007. Those
chosen to sit on the Committee will be notified by letter.

PUBLIC NOTICE OF MEETING
The Council of the Corporation of the Town of South Bruce Peninsula will hold a special
Committee of the Whole meeting on February 20th, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. at the Council
Chambers located at 315 George Street.

The purpose of the meeting is for Council follow up discussion re the Committee of the
Whole meeting held on January 30, 2007 regarding future re sewer and water servicing
options.

Council and Staff will attempt to cover Council, General Administration, Fire
Protection, Police Protection, Building Inspection, Animal Control, By-Law
Enforcement, Airport, Libraries and Planning & Economic Development

Tuesday March 13, 2007 9:00 am to 12:00 Noon

Wednesday March 14, 2007 9:00 am to 12:00 Noon

Council and Staff will attempt to cover Paid Parking, Public Works-Roads &
Bridges, Town Street Lights, Water & Sewer Systems, Garbage Collection &
Disposal, Recycling, Cemeteries, Parks, Recreation, Sauble Community
School & Community Centre, Pool, Arena and Wiarton Information Centre &
Campground.

It is anticipated that the foregoing schedule is too ambitious and additional
meetings will have to be scheduled during late March and early April.

Future meetings will be posted on the Council Agenda plus on the Town's
web site.

The schedule anticipates Council considering the final budget at the

Committee of the Whole meeting on April 23 , 2007 with a recommendation
of adoption being considered at the Council meeting of April 30th, 2007. A
Public Notice will be posted for the meeting of April 30th, 2007 in accordance
with Section 291 (1) of the Municipal Act.
