Wiarton Willie ­ Up for Grabs Again!
The experience of a lifetime; a rare chance to be guest of honour as part of the Shadow
Cabinet at the Wiarton Willie Festival is once again up for bid on Ebay. This is the 53rd year of
the Festival and 4th year the opportunity has been auctioned off on Ebay, explained Danielle
Mulasmajic, new Economic Development Officer for the Town.

Last year the winning bid sold for more than $1,700 to the Schofield family of Calgary, Alberta
who purchased the package as a graduation present for their son. The family, who said that
winning the bid was `a dream come true', stayed in the area for several days taking in all of the
festival activities and visiting tourist spots.

This year's Ebay package includes being on stage as part of the Shadow Cabinet (white
tuxedo provided) as Willie makes his prediction, a personal meeting and photo-op with Willie,
breakfast with the Mayor and dignitaries, invitation to the media party, 3 nights accommodation
and participation in many of the activities.

The bidding is now open with a starting bid of $749.99 and closes on January 16th, 2009.

The 2009 Wiarton Willie Festival runs from January 29th to February 2nd, where on Groundhog
Day at approximately 8:07am Willie will make his long-awaited prediction for an early spring or
