Washroom Upgrades

Sealed tenders on forms provided, clearly marked as to the contents will be received by the
undersigned at the address below until 11:00 am local time on Thursday, July 10, 2008. The
tender price shall include all applicable taxes and must be signed by your company personnel
having signing authority. Tender Documents outlining the project specifications may be picked
up at Town Hall, weekdays from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.

Please note that a mandatory Site Visit will be completed on July 3, 2008 starting at 9:00
am.

The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.

Specifications ­ Washroom Upgrades

J) OLIPHANT WASHROOM

The Oliphant Washroom facility is located on Shoreline Avenue approximately 125 m
north of the intersection of Shoreline Avenue and Oliphant Way and is located south
and adjacent to the Oliphant Marina.

Scope of work includes the following:

1. Permits and Fees
The Contractor is responsible for obtaining all necessary permits and
arranging of inspections.

2. Material or Workmanship
The Contractor shall be responsible for replacing or repairing, entirely at his
cost, any defects in material or workmanship which may appear within one
year of final acceptance of owner.

3. Clean Up
The Contractor is responsible for the clean up of all surplus materials and
debris and leaving the site(s) neat and tidy to the satisfaction of the owner.
Such clean up will be a requisite to final acceptance of work

4) Removal and disposal of existing stalls
All existing stalls are to be removed and disposed appropriately by
Contractor.

5) Supply and installation of new stalls
a. All toilet compartments and doors are to be Duraline Series 1082, solid
Phenolic as manufactured by Bodrick or approved equivalent. Door jambs
are to be 1 ½" stainless steel wall posts and complete with spring loaded,
self closing, full length hinges anchored to the partition walls.
b. Colours will be selected from the manufacturer's standard colours by the
Town.

6. Removal and disposal of existing fixtures
a. Removal and disposal of existing fixtures consisting of two (2)
countertops, two (2) mirrors, two (2) sinks, four (4) toilets, and two (2)
urinals;
b. Plumbing work includes removal of all toilets, urinals fixtures, counter top
and basins in existing men's and ladies washrooms. The removal of
existing toilet urinals and wash basins shall include the complete removal
of all drains, traps, and floor flanges.
7.Supply and installation of new fixtures
c. Supply and installation of new fixtures including two (2) countertops, two
(2) mirrors, two (2) sinks, four (4) toilets, and two (2) urinals;
d. All washroom basins shall be mounted in plastic laminate counter top with
plywood core, as per Formatop Classic or approved equivalent. The
counter top laminate shall be selected by the Town from the
manufacturer's standard range of colours.
e. Mirrors shall be at each basin and shall be B-2901824 as manufactured by
Bodrick or approved equivalent. Mirrors shall be complete with one piece
roll formed frame, No. 1 quality, ¼" glass mirror and shall be secured to
conceal wall hanger and with 2 theft resistant locking screws. Existing
mirror to be disposed of.
f. Urinals shall be Crane or approved equivalent. Urinals shall be fitted with
Delta 86T503 or approved equivalent.
a. Toilets shall be low flush Crane or approved equivalent.
b. Isolation valves are to be supplied at all fixtures.
c. Provide drain cocks in all water piping to ensure all lines can be drained
completely.
d. Basins in all washrooms shall be Series 9300 as manufactured by
Architectural Metal Industries and shall be complete with Delta Brass
21T149, 4" centre, with self closing facets with lever handles. Apply
waterproof caulking under rim
8. Restoration of the wall and floor surfaces
All wall and floor surfaces shall be restored to match existing surfaces.

9. Painting
The painting of washrooms will include all doors, walls, trim and both the
interior and exterior of the building(s). The paint colours of all coatings
shall be selected by the Town.

10. Electrical Work
The electrical work includes removal of all fixtures. Replacement fixtures
shall be Lithonia fluorescent, surface mounted #VR1232 M Volt C.S.A. All
exhaust fans shall bear the stamp of approval of the C.S.A.

K) SAUBLE BEACH WASHROOMS NORTH AND SOUTH

There are two (2) Sauble Beach Washroom facilities. The Sauble Beach Washroom
facilities are located on Lakeshore Boulevard.

The South Washroom facility is located near the beach volleyball courts and is
approximately 90 m north of the intersection of Lakeshore Boulevard and Chesley Lane
on the west side of Lakeshore Boulevard.

The North Washroom facility is located near the tennis courts and is approximately 180
m north of the intersection of Lakeshore Boulevard and Eleventh Street North on the
west side of Lakeshore Boulevard.

Scope of work for each facility includes the following:

Pool Complex located at 440 George Street in Wiarton.
