REQUEST FOR TENDER
for
Rock Breaking and Excavation
at the Mouth of the Sauble River

FRIDAY, JULY 25, 2008

The tender is for under water rock breaking and rock excavation at the mouth of the Sauble River. The
work consists of the following major items:

$ Mobilization and demobilization of specified equipment

$ Removal of up to 300 m of bedrock/boulders from mouth of Sauble River

$ Placement of all rock removed above high water line at site

$ Final site restoration

All work is to be completed between August 18, 2008 and September 30, 2008. Work on weekends and
statutory holidays not permitted.

Each tender must be accompanied by a $5,000 tender deposit in the form of a certified cheque payable to
the Town of South Bruce Peninsula. This tender deposit will be retained as contract security until
completion of the project and returned at that time without interest.

Plans, Specifications and other Contract Documents may be obtained from the office of the undersigned
Consulting Engineer by sending a cheque payable to the Town of South Bruce Peninsula for the sum of
$75.00 including GST, which sum will not be refunded. A mandatory site meeting will be held on
Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Contractors are to meet at the parking lot adjacent to the
boat launch at the river mouth.

The lowest or any Tender not necessarily accepted and is conditional upon acceptance by the Town of
South Bruce Peninsula.
