NOTICE OF FILING OF ADDENDUM NO. 2 - REVISED
CLASS ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT
WATER & SEWAGE WORKS STUDY
THE TOWN OF SOUTH BRUCE PENINSULA
105142
In 1995, the Township of Amabel and the Village of Hepworth jointly agreed to undertake a water and sewage
works study for the community of Sauble Beach and the Village of Hepworth (MOE Project #51-0063-01).
R.V. Anderson Associates Limited was retained to collect and analyze water data, examine existing
problems/opportunities and consider water and sanitary sewage servicing concept in accordance with the
Municipal Engineer's Association Class Environmental Assessment for Municipal Water and Wastewater
projects.
The Environmental Study Report for this project was completed in June 2001. However, this report did not
contain a preferred site or suggested treatment process for sanitary sewage works. An Addendum (No. 2 -
REVISED) has now been completed to the original Environmental Study Report.
Addendum No. 2 (REVISED) discusses the recommended site for a new wastewater treatment plant,
describes the proposed wastewater collection and treatment system in detail, and provides a description of the
recommended water supply and distribution system. As per Addendum No. 2 (REVISED), a scaled-down
wastewater and water system serving only the Development Control Area (DCA) of Sauble Beach is
recommended.
By this Notice, the Addendum is being placed on the public record for review in accordance with the
requirements of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment. Subject to comments received as a result of
this Notice, the Town of South Bruce Peninsula will consider proceeding with construction of this project,
subject to funding availability. The Addendum is available for review at the following location:
